Canadian Friends Service CommitteeCanadian Friends Service Committee acts on the peace and social justice concerns of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Canada . Its work is built on the foundation of Quaker belief that there is value and the essence of God in every person, and is dedicated to peace, equality and simplicity. Founded in 1931, CFSC provided relief for victims of the Spanish Civil War. During World War II, CFSC organized a Friends ambulance unit to bring medical care to the Chinese frontier. In the 1960s CFSC followed its tradition of providing aid to all who suffer in war, regardless of partisan affiliation, by sending medical supplies to the Red Cross societies of North Vietnam, South Vietnam and the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam.

Friends World Committee for ConsultationFriends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) was set up at the 1937 World Conference of Friends in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA, "to act in a consultative capacity to promote better understanding among Friends the world over, particularly by the encouragement of joint conferences and intervisitation, the collection and circulation of information about Quaker literature and other activities directed towards that end." About 175 representatives, appointed by the almost 70 affiliated yearly meetings and groups, meet together every three years at Triennials, aiming to provide links between Friends as they seek to perceive God's will more clearly, so that they may more effectively make their corporate witness. An Interim Committee meets annually to continue FWCC's decision making processes and guide the work of the staff between Triennials. Canadian Yearly Meeting is affiliated with FWCC.
